How Athletes Sleep

Wow…just, wow, right?!? Really, do we need to be told how to sleep? Well, there may be more to sleep than we thought. For example, World Class distance runner, Eliud Kipchoge, sleeps 10+ hours per day. Rest and recovery is a big part of overall conditioning, for athletes. Ice Hockey has one of the most demanding schedules of all sports, from youth through the NHL. Inadequate rest could be hindering your ability to move forward. This doesn’t necessarily mean extremes like hyperbaric chambers and supplementation. Rather, maybe just getting enough, and the right type of, sleep could help improve performance.
